Class 3: Introduction to Photography (Sept.6)
Over the next few classes, we will be working on producing photography. Please make sure you have a working camera at home. A cell phone, ITouch or IPad camera is fine. Please be reminded that you are responsible for your own equipment-- if you are concerned about the safety of your camera (or other device that takes pictures), see me and I can lock it up while you are in other classes. If you do not have a camera, see me as soon as possible and I will provide you with one.
Also, be sure to have your USB. Since we will be uploading and editing the photographs, you will need to save the file on your own personal storage device.

Class 4: Photography Assignment 1 (Sept. 12)

This class will be devoted to Photography Assignment 1. The assignment is posted above and will be handed out in class. Also, the PowerPoint above was shown as an example. You will be expected to take photos so please come to class with the following materials:
- A digital camera (the camera on your phone is OK)
- A USB
- Your pocket folder
DUE: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH -- You must submit this assignment in class. Hand in the assignment paper and show up with your 3 photos on a USB. You will upload them to my computer.
Class 5: Outside (Sept.13)
During this class, we went outside to photograph the objects in order to capture the chosen photography terms.
You must complete the Photography Assignment paper I handed out on the 11th and upload your 3 photographs onto a USB. In order to submit this assignment, you will have to upload your photographs onto my classroom desktop computer. If you do not put them on a USB at home, please email them to yourself so that you can transfer them to my computer. WHen you save your photographs, make sure you name the files something with YOUR NAME in the titles. Before you hand it in, make sure you have the following.

I will be collecting any Drawing and Caption assignments that were not turned in last class. Then we will be working on brainstorming potential ideas for the final photojournalism project. You had to bring in as many news sources as possible (newspapers, journals, online news sources...) to use as sources of inspiration.
